Dr. Lee Moorer

Bio

Dr Lee Moorer (born April 11, 1970) is an American medical professional specializing in hormone health who is the founder and owner of Castle Rock Men’s Health. Lee also provides expert witness services in auto collisions, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and emergency medicine.

Moorer was born on April 11, 1970, in Charlottesville, Virginia. He spent a significant portion of his childhood in Lexington, Kentucky. He attended Henry Clay High School, actively participating in varsity soccer, wrestling, clubs, and extracurricular activities.

Moorer pursued his undergraduate studies at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, majoring in zoology and premed with a minor in coral reef ecosystems. Actively involved in the Sigma Chi fraternity, Moorer spent a transformative junior year abroad in the Turks and Caicos Islands, studying coral reef ecosystems and Caribbean culture through extensive scuba diving.

Career

After completing his undergraduate studies, Moorer took a year off to work as a waiter and bartender at Keystone Resort, indulging his passion for skiing. He then became a research associate at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, focusing on telemedicine—an area in medical education that involved orchestrating telemedical systems between the home university and rural health centers in eastern Kentucky.

Accepted into the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Moorer matriculated in 1994, completing his medical education in 1998. During medical school, he engaged in unique experiences, spending time in the rainforest of Ecuador studying with a shaman’s apprentice and working in an emergency department in Costa Rica.

After completing his studies, Moorer undertook a three-year internship residency program at the University of Chicago hospitals. During this time, he was appointed chief resident in International transport. He also served as a flight physician for the University of Chicago aeromedical network, conducting helicopter and fixed-wing transports for critically ill patients. In 2001, Moorer joined the University of Nevada School of Medicine as an assistant clinical professor of surgery at the University Medical Center in Las Vegas, the only level-one trauma center in Nevada. Later, he relocated to the Denver metropolitan area, where he worked for four years at Saint Anthony Hospital’s level-one trauma center.

Entrepreneurial Ventures

In 2003, Moorer started a multidisciplinary rehabilitation center providing services to individuals injured in motor vehicle collisions. In 2006, he established Denver Urgent Care, later renamed Guardian Urgent Care. Over nine years, he grew the chain to three urgent care facilities and three physical therapy and rehabilitation centers. These were sold in 2015 and now operate under the Zip Clinic brand.

Current Endeavors

Moorer also owns Castle Rock Men’s Health, a medical services clinic related to hormones,  and provides expert witness services in auto collisions, physical medicine and rehabilitation, and emergency medicine.

Personal Life

Moorer has been married for 16 years and has two sons. He holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and is a glider pilot with extensive global travel experience. Moorer is recognized for his dedication to excellence in medical practice, education, and entrepreneurship, contributing to the healthcare community.
